Another Day in Lucca!

Going to Lucca has become a weekly event! Today's trip was somewhat different as the monthly weekend antiques market was going on and there were a lot of people out and about. We enjoyed a little lunch in the Anfiteatro Piazza then everyone wandered around lovely Lucca. After a walk through the botanical garden, I achieved a personal goal of walking the complete 2.8 miles on the city walls. It was a very nice experience and I made it in just over two hours with a couple of brief "sit-downs". The photos will show the interesting scenes along the way and what was on either side of the wall. Others shopped, climbed the Guingini Tower, visited exhibits and checked out the prices in the antique market - no one purchased a real treasure however. After a relaxing train ride, we were back in Florence by 8 p.m. A lovely fall day in Italy!
