Second Group's Arrival Day - October 1

All eight members of the group arrived today with no problems and all their luggage!  Four came by plane from Paris and Munich and four by train from Rome.  After settling into the apartments we had an orientation meeting in the residence courtyard and then we were off on our first walkabout.  We saw the amazing Duomo (cathedral) with its baptistery and bell tower then circled back around to our home street - Faenza - for a great "welcome to the neighborhood" meal at Nerone's Ristorante.  The evening was capped off by a visit to Tulio's gelato shop - sure to become a favorite hangout in the days to come.  More later . . .

Some Fun with the Statues - September 30

Everyone but myself went home on Sunday and Florence cried all day - rained that is.  So it was a "home day" for me to catch up with some things and get ready for my new travelers coming on Tuesday.  However I did go out and stroll around the city today and while looking at all the statues decided to have a little fun by taking their photos and making up comments for them.  Here's what I think the "stone heads" were saying - enjoy!  More later. . .
