What a beautiful day we were blessed with to visit the Ligurian coast and the five villages of the Cinque Terre! Up and out in the early morning, we took the train North to La Spezia. One by one, we visited each little town and enjoyed a walk along the cliffs on the Via d'Amore. The local train and shuttle bus got us to each destination and after an unforgettable day we arrived back in Florence around ten o'clock. We hope you will enjoy seeng some of sights we saw today.

Raindrops Falling on Our Heads - Oct 20
As we started out this morning on another walk around Florence we raised our umbrellas toward the rainy sky. We visited the Santa Maria Novella neighborhood including the Perfumery, the Strozzi Palace and the Davanzati House Museum. The sun was shining again as we crossed the Arno in the late afternoon for our cooking class and meal where a good time was had by all!
The Best of Tuscany Tour - Oct 19
Lots of photos to share with you from our bus trip into Tuscany today. We traveled first to Siena where a local guide walked us around this lovely town. We learned all about the famous Palio horse race and how important it still is to the history of Siena. Our lunch at the wine farm was delicious and fun and then we were in San Gimignano to see what is left of the tall tower houses there. Riding through the countryside was beautiful on a bright sunny day. We arrived in Pisa as the sun was setting in time to see that the tower is indeed still leaning! A great day in Tuscany!
