We stayed close to home today as we toured the 14th century Davanzati house museum and the Ferragamo shoe museum. Salvatore was a poor Sicilian boy who hit it big making shoes for Hollywood stars and other famous ladies. Tonight was the annual "Notte Bianca" or White Night when everyone crowds into the streets to hear music, eat, drink and be merry. Tomorrow is May Day - a national holiday - so most people can stay out late tonight - not us! We have an early morning train to the Cinque Terre!
